RhinoplastyWhile the nose shape is usually a result of genetics, its appearance may have been altered by injury or previous surgery. Also known as rhinoplasty, a nose job improves the appearance and proportion of your nose, harmonizing your face and improving self-confidence. It may also correct structural defects that cause respiratory issues.

Rhinoplasty can change:

  • The nose size and its relation to facial equilibrium.
  • The nose width, and the size and shape of the nostrils.
  • The nose profile, correcting bumps or gaps.
  • The nose tip, which may be lifted and made thinner in case of a bulbous or fallen nose.
  • Nasal asymmetry.

Surgical steps: incisions hidden at the base of the nostril and/or within the nose allow access to remove the underlying cartilage and/or bone. This may include the reduction of bumps, the straightening of nasal bones, the reshaping of the nose point or the nostrils, and the improvement of the angle between the nose and upper lip.

Your results: You should be able to see change within 6-8 weeks of the surgery, with improvements continuing gradually over 6-12 months.
